1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on the Josep Designs & Logistics platform, enrolling in any program, or accessing our learning materials, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms form a binding agreement between you ("the Student") and Josep Designs & Logistics ("the Institute").
2. Enrollment Requirements
- Minimum age: 18 years (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- A valid email address and accepted payment method
- Meeting any course-specific prerequisites as specified in the course description
- Provision of accurate personal and professional information
- Acceptance of our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy
3. Student Rights
Upon successful enrollment, you are entitled to:
- Access to all enrolled course materials for the duration of the program plus a 30-day review period
- Instructor support and feedback as specified per course (response within 48 business hours)
- A verifiable digital certificate upon successful completion of all course requirements
- Fair, transparent assessment and grading based on published criteria
- Technical support during business hours for platform-related issues
- Access to the student community forum and peer collaboration tools
4. Student Responsibilities
As a student of the Institute, you agree to:
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
- Complete all coursework independently unless collaborative work is explicitly specified
- Adhere to all academic integrity policies
- Respect the intellectual property rights of the Institute, instructors, and fellow students
- Meet course deadlines and requirements (extensions available by prior arrangement)
- Provide constructive feedback when requested
- Report any technical issues within 48 hours of occurrence
5. Academic Integrity
Maintaining the value of our certifications requires strict academic integrity. Prohibited activities include:
- Plagiarism: Submitting work that is not your own, or failing to attribute sources
- Unauthorised Collaboration: Working with others on individual assignments without written permission
- Content Sharing: Distributing, selling, or sharing course materials with non-enrolled individuals
- Platform Circumvention: Attempting to bypass platform security, access restrictions, or assessment controls
- Misrepresentation: Falsifying academic work, credentials, or identity
- AI Misuse: Submitting AI-generated work as your own without proper disclosure (where course policy requires original work)
Consequences: Violations may result in assignment failure, course termination without refund, certificate revocation, and/or permanent account suspension.
6. Intellectual Property
- All course materials — including videos, documents, templates, quizzes, and assessments — are the proprietary property of Josep Designs & Logistics.
- A personal use license is granted to enrolled students only for the duration of their access period.
- No redistribution, resale, recording, or commercial use of course materials is permitted.
- Student-created projects remain the student's intellectual property, with the Institute retaining a non-exclusive license for promotional and portfolio showcase purposes (with attribution).
7. Technical Requirements
Students are responsible for ensuring they have:
- A stable internet connection (minimum 5 Mbps recommended)
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge — latest two versions)
- Required software as listed in individual course prerequisites
- Adequate hardware to run design/development software where applicable
- Regular backup of personal project files (the Institute is not responsible for data loss on student devices)
8. Program Modifications
The Institute reserves the right to:
- Update course content, materials, and curriculum to reflect industry changes
- Change instructors when necessary (maintaining equivalent expertise)
- Modify program schedules with reasonable advance notice
- Discontinue programs with at least 30 days' notice and provision of alternative arrangements or full refund
9. Limitation of Liability
Josep Designs & Logistics is not liable for:
- Technical issues, outages, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control
- Career outcomes, job placement, or employment guarantees
- Third-party software failures, licensing issues, or compatibility problems
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of our services
- Loss of data on student-owned devices or third-party cloud services
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the student for the specific course in question.
10. Account Termination
The Institute may suspend or terminate a student account for:
- Violation of these Terms & Conditions
- Non-payment of outstanding fees
- Academic integrity violations
- Abusive behaviour toward staff, instructors, or fellow students
- Prolonged inactivity (accounts inactive for 24+ months may be archived)
11. Dispute Resolution
Contact our support team to discuss your concerns first.
Submit a written complaint to josslogistics778@gmail.com within 30 days of the issue.
Our Academic Committee will review and respond within 15 business days.
If unresolved, binding arbitration may be pursued under the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
